Elvoko is a macOS design app where you browse, collect, brief, make and write on one canvas, with an agent that does the legwork.
Agent
Write what the work needs, or hand Elvoko the brief itself: a PDF, a Word file, a deck. It reads the brief, looks at the canvas and your folder, searches the web and your pictures, then makes, places and writes. Every step shows in the conversation as it happens; you can stop it at any point, and undo any change it made to your files.
Files
Every project is a folder in ~/Elvoko, or one of your own. PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, Photoshop files, video, audio, fonts and web pages open inside Elvoko: Space to look, double-click to open. Put a folder on the canvas and it stays in step with the Finder; stack pictures and flip through them with the arrow keys.
Documents
Documents are written in Elvoko and saved as you type, with a formatting bar and your choice of font. Paste in a screenshot or drag pictures in from the canvas. Select some words and press Elvoko to shorten, expand, change the tone or translate them; on an empty line, press / and it writes there. When Elvoko writes a whole document, you watch it being written. Put a document away at the foot of the canvas and pick it up later; export it to Word, PDF, one long picture or Markdown.
Generation
Draw a frame where the picture belongs and describe it. Choose the model, the size (1K, 2K or 4K), the quality and how many. The price is on the button before you press it. The picture resolves inside the frame you drew, at the size you asked for.
Editing
Select a picture and tell Elvoko what to change: the light, the background, the colour of the label. It makes a new version and puts it beside the original, which stays as it was. Analyze, Remove BG, Crop and Replace sit on the selection for everything else.
Library
Everything you keep — references, generations, an Eagle library if you have one — is searchable by name, prompt, model, tag, and by what the pictures look like. The visual model downloads once and runs on your Mac. Elvoko searches it too, and tells you what it found.
Canvas
The canvas is the desk. Briefs, references, variants and finals stay together, in versions, where you can see them side by side. Tidy a selection into a grid, align, distribute, group. Press Tab and every piece of chrome steps away.
Local-first
Projects and libraries are files on your computer: every project is a folder you can open in the Finder. What you send to a model (a brief, a reference, a conversation) goes to its provider for that request. The rest stays on your Mac.
On the selection
Select a picture and the tools appear where you are looking: Elvoko itself, a look, Analyze, Remove BG, Crop, Replace, Export, and a handle to drag it out of the app. Select several and you get Align, Distribute, Tidy and Stack.
The rail
Select, Hand, Upload, Frame, Shapes, Pen, Text and Document on the left; then the Image Generator and Elvoko Ask. Notes live with the shapes (N), the eraser with the pen (E).
